  JUBA, South Sudan:  South Sudan continues to face one of the world’s most severe hunger crises, with more than 7.8 million people experiencing food insecurity, according to humanitarian assessments. The situation is particularly critical for vulnerable refugees and displaced communities who depend heavily on humanitarian assistance for their daily survival. Humanitarian agencies warn that food assistance for approximately 240,000 vulnerable refugees could be disrupted by the end of September if additional funding is not secured. Such a disruption could leave already vulnerable families without reliable access to essential food and nutrition support.
